Overview

At Cottrell Park, we want each and every one of our guests to feel welcome from the moment they enter the resort to the moment they leave us smiling. We want you to enjoy our state-of-the-art facilities and award winning services, with the help of our friendly and knowledgeable staff. Both championship designed courses are maintained to the highest standards. The clubhouse offers the perfect relaxing atmosphere for before and after a round of golf, plus a menu boasting delicious meals served daily.

Members and Visitors alike are welcome to experience the traditional menu with a selection of snacks, main meals, daily specials and dessert board in the atmospheric and cosy Merricks restaurant. There’s no need to reserve a table if you wish to dine at Merrick’s restaurant, just turn up, note your table number and order at the bar. Dress code and etiquette is enforced on the courses but relaxed in the clubhouse. Handicap certificates are not required to play the courses, however, a certain degree of competency in the game is expected.

Courses

We take the upmost pride in maintaining our greens to the very highest standard, which has earned us the reputation of being one of the best draining parkland courses in South Wales. So, whilst other courses often have to close during the winter months, you can enjoy our tees, fairways, and greens all year round – whatever the weather!

The Mackintosh Course

Spanning 6,113 yards off the yellow tees and 6,450 off the white tees, The Mackintosh Course is the longest of our two Parkland courses.

The Button Gwinnett Course

The magnificent Button Gwinnett Course provides 5,841 yards off the yellow tees and 6,180 yards off the white tees. Based on an American design, the course features 13 lakes spread over 18 holes, and culminates in a fantastic finishing hole in full view of the club house.

Accommodation

The Coach House is divided into two separate apartments, the ‘Arabella’ being on the ground floor and the ‘Emilia’ being on the upper floor. Each apartment houses two large bedrooms with one double bed and two single beds in each room. There is a fully equipped kitchen for self catering use and a living/dining area with TV. There is one bathroom, with a shower and toilet. Outside of the apartments is a shared patio area with additional tables and chairs offering far reaching views. Ample car parking is available.

Our accommodation is very versatile and ideally suited for family getaways or golf breaks. We are within a few miles of a variety of local attractions, such as the stunning beaches of Ogmore, Southerndown and Barry Island and also situated between the Market Town of Cowbridge and Cardiff City Centre, where you will find stunning boutiques, shops and have plenty of things to see and do. An ideal place to entertain the whole family!

Directly within the Golf Resort, guests can have access to the Clubhouse with bar and restaurant, also the snooker & pool room. The Pro-Shop will be happy to book you in a golf game or set you up on one of our state of the art sports simulators where adults and children can play a variety of indoor sports.

Other facilities include our outdoor children’s play area, nature trail & fishing lake, all located around the perimeter of the grounds.
